Osteoporosis Prevention classes are run on a Wednesday morning at 11:00 am. They are drop-in classes but require booking a place. Please ring Physiofusion on 6077104. The duration of each class is 45 minutes and includes a warm-up, exercise and a cool-down and stretch session. Exercises take place under the supervision of a Chartered Physiotherapist, as advised by the Osteoporosis Society, and involve a mixture of styles including balance, weight-bearing, and Pilates.
Should you be unable to attend our class, individual sessions can be arranged. The physiotherapist will carry out a detailed assessment of your health, mobility and balance to see how these factors are affecting your ability to be physically active. Your consultation is likely to include a range of exercises or activities that can be done at home and if you have already broken a bone it they will give you advice on pain relief, mobility and posture.
