Ensuring the highest standards of care

We provide a full range of physiotherapy services. We have also developed areas of particular clinical interest through our work experiences and postgraduate training.

Physiofusion is a well respected and established practice of senior physiotherapists with a minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience and additional qualifications.

Our Physiofusion approach to patient care.

At Physiofusion the time spent in a treatment room visit reflects only a part of our umbrella of care which extends far beyond your visit to us, to include time we spend outside of your session creating a network of support for you to ensure a comprehensive approach to your care. This regularly involves the preparation, design and set up of your new exercise programme.

We also use our time to write to your GP or hospital consultant including drafting new referrals for other healthcare professionals eg occupational therapist/pain management consultant. We liaise with your gym or coaching staff, send you links to recommended websites or online stores to help you choose footwear or runners, help you to source exercise equipment/ and guide you to help select medical equipment/knee braces/ankle supports and home office equipment for working from home.

Upper and Lower Limb Pain

Musculoskeletal physiotherapists are highly competent in the assessment and treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle/foot and hand pain. The high level of care offered by our team of senior physiotherapists ensures that relief is most often felt from the first day of your treatment. This is reassuring for patients who are concerned about pain, particularly where the patient may have no recollection of any injury and where the pain was of spontaneous onset.

Vestibular Rehabilitation - Managing Dizziness

Vertigo or dizziness can occur when there is a problem with an individual’s balance system as a result of injury or disease. 'Vestibular rehabilitation' is a form of physiotherapy that reduces vertigo and dizziness-related problems and improves balance.

While the symptoms of vertigo can cause considerable anxiety for individuals, it is reassuring to know that treatment can be very successful following a thorough assessment and examination.  The treatment for BPPV for example an often lead to dramatically impressive results by the end of the first session.

Osteoporosis & Bone Health

At Physiofusion our physiotherapists have undertaken training with the Royal Osteoporosis Society (UK) as Fracture Prevention Practitioners, and we conduct regular inservice training to ensure we keep up to date with the latest developments and recommendations in the exercise element of bone health management as healthcare professionals.

A physiotherapy assessment is recommended for anyone who has received a new diagnosis of osteopaenia or osteoporosis. This session includes assessment of your posture, balance, agility, gait, muscle strength and falls risk.

Eva also runs an Osteoporosis Exercise Class each Wednesday morning at 11am. New enquiries welcome at 01 6077104.

Physiotherapy & orthotic services

Orthotic Prescription

Orthotics are insoles that are worn inside your shoe and they can range from ‘arch supports’ to ‘simple prescription insoles’ to custom orthotics which are moulded to your own foot shape.  We employ a wide range of devices to ensure we best fit your need whether it be for daily walking, sports specific or indeed to fit within your current fashion or work shoes.

Each person’s feet are unique and will cope with daily demands differently. As physiotherapists we will assess your lower limb biomechanics aswell as consider the ability of your tendons and soft tissues to absorb load generated during the gait cycle. We also advise on choice of runner that best suits your foot and gait type.
